Does anyone know of a stockist of the above named gloves? Both the wife and I are tempted as the heated grips on our Beemers just don't seem to cut it anymore (that's more of a measure of our age than the grips).

The trouble is we are both reluctant to spend £160 without trying them on for fit, feel, quality etc. etc.

We are happy to travel up to 100 miles from Bristol if we know that we can 'try before we buy'.

I am aware that Gerbing do an acurate measuring guide but it ain't the same. I have a slightly longer thumb than normal and my wife's fingers are quite long too. Some gloves fit and others don't (for the same given size).

Thanks :nenau

It's a bit of a pain, but under the distance selling regulations you can return them for a refund/exchange if you buy online and they don't fit.

Could you hang on until the NEC show in a fortnight? You could then try on the gloves from all the manufacturers. I've previously had Exo2 gloves and after 3 failures in 12 months of ownership (including 7 months of non-use due to warm weather) I've decided to replace with Gerbing's. There's no way I'll touch Exo2 stuff again.

I did try and post a link to a Buyapowa group buy for these gloves last week but it seems the moderator never approved it. They went for £99 in the end.

Just a thought - have you tried muffs for the rider? I fit a set to my 1100 each winter and ride all year round in summer gloves as a result.

Last Sunday, I rode from Somerset to Heathrow, through the snow and eventually turned the grips onto low after about 40 miles ... :thumb2

As one who finds the heated grips "only go so far"... I discovered something some time ago that is usefull info..

If I turn my heated jacked (not vest) up to higher than I think I need.. It warms the blood in my arms and keeps my hands warm...

I was struggling with cold hands coming back from Morocco in the nearly freezing weather when I discovered this.. Grips on, and jacket just warm enough equaled cold hands... turned up the jacket and suddenly warm hands.

That's not as daft as it sounds. The body reduces blood flow to extremities when the core is cold in a bid to preserve heat. If you stop the core from getting cold then this doesn't happen.

Although I purchased the Gerbing's heated gloves through the group buy mentioned above I am still commuting in my Held Titan summer gloves and wearing my Gerbing's heated jacket liner. So far I have had no requirement to change to the heated gloves.

A friend who is probably the biggest uk dealer and has been for many years has enquired about the XR12 gloves, apparently the European distrubitor dont have them yet but they are due in, you more than welcome to ring him for any advice.

Think the only difference between these and the T5 is the knuckle protection

Is he? :eek Thought it was Gerbing's Heated Clothing Ltd, 01580 200212.They used to be down Dover way I think, but now down in East Sussex. Always had fantastic service off them and they'll be the ones with the Trade Stand at the NEC (usually are anyway) After sales service is excellent cf to at least one other stockist/retailer.

They've been Wild and Wicked for a while. Great bunch of guys, always good to pop in and get bits and bobs and replacements under warranty, as was the trade stand.

For instance one year whilst travelling to the NEC the heated liner packed up down one side. Got to the stand, and was given a replacement on the spot. Though I also think the guy recalled me buying it from him previously :-)

I have one pair size XL which I bought of this site and then only used them twice: I believe that they are TG ones
They are in immaculate good as new condition.

I'll never make a good salesman when I tell you that I wasn't over impressed by them: I'm a big muff fan which beats these golves hands down IMHO

Also they never got really warm, but I was running them off the jacket, which I believe takes the lion's share of the current!

You're welcome to try them and what's more... they're in Bristol :D

They can either be connected to the jacket sleeves, or a direct connect using the supplied leads. These do not have a temperature controller so yours for £60 i.e. half new price.

Thanks so much for the offer but the wife and I fancy the XR12's (and she REALLY is an awkward fit). I hope you get an offer though,

Thanks:beer:

Off to Sportouring next weekend. These guys rock. I highly recommend them. This ain't the first time they sorted me out. The first time was when NN let me down.

Thanks

:clap

Muffs on a GS are acceptable, if I try to put them on my wife's F800R Christian Pfieffer, I think I'm in for a divorce!!!! And then I'm left with :spank
