I have been told that the above route from Lindau to Berchetsgarden is worth doing. Does anyone have any idea where i can get a .gpx file for it ?

Better bet is Lindau- Oberstaufen-Immenstadt-Oberstdorf- Lech - Arlberg pass- landeck- imst- garmish- Wallgau- kreuth- Tegernsee- Schliersee- Bayischzell- Tatzelwurmstrasse- to Oberaudorf and then picking up the route for the run down to Berchtesgarden

Thanks folks,
I've down loaded the file into basecamp but its over 2000 waypoints so it won't transfer to the 660.

The file i posted above is a track, no waypoints, just create a route that follows it, I use mapsource, pm me your email and i'll send route over.

Great, now someone's found you the road, it's a real chance for you to play about in the Garmin software (and with your GPS device) to find out how they work. You'll learn a lot more than being spoon fed everything. The best thing? You really cannot break it
