Well, except for Zamora, Merida, Ronda, Cordoba and Toledo on my Spanish tour last October, and Avignon and Colmar on this years tour Why not explore an historic city on tour? It's a great way to spend an evening, especially when they're not the usual weekend break destinations

I recall being in Goslar in 2018. Lovely city to use as a base and take a day off riding. Hunt out the Henry Moore sculpture. Our visit coincided with the World Cup held in Russia when Germany were knocked out of the competition in the group stage. Sitting outside a restaurant watching the sullen locals trudge back to the train station from the main square "big screen" was one of the highlights of the trip.

I like cities, not least as I live in the middle of one of the world’s biggest. I also rode all the way to Berlin, just to go to the zoo. It was wunderbar. Others blanche at even the thought of getting close to the M25.

I have family members who have booked travel tickets in the hope of getting match tickets.

I’ve just booked a North Sea ferry ticket for May to avoid the footie fans

My son has got several tickets for some of the games in Berlin. I feel a road trip coming
