Hey you guys I'm away to Germany on Thursday morning if anybody needs a bike (or some parts or anything really)collecting that has been bought out there,I have room in the van. I have lots of experience in moving motorcycles so you need not worry. I can drop off on my way home from Folkestone to York if it's not too far off route.
Just thought it might help someone out?
46325 Borken not far off the Dutch border so if it's on route or not too far away, no problem.

So what did you pick up then Flo....:augie
Hi Alf,
I bought a R80GS paralever 1991 round headlight model, it has a fallert 971 conversion on it along with exhaust.
I initially went to buy a tank that the guy had advertised and picked the bike up too. The tank is a 45lt Sauer hand made in alloy. They are quite rare and usually big money to buy. I thought I would take it to TunnerUK to paint (if he would)?
Then I'm going to use it on my 1070 GS for touring.:thumb

Soon soon, I've just got in from Germany and also Colin's home for the R65 and CCM and I'm knackered! On the way back I called at Barrie Robson for a 1200gs and fired up the R65, nothing is ever too much trouble for those guys....it wouldn't happen in Jerrerys!! A splash of petrol, a new battery and she ran up lovely, not bad for a bike that's not been run in 6 years!
I will take some photos tomorrow....and yes JB it will be for sale! I haven't ridden the bike yet but it feels very crisp and from what I've read about the Fallert conversion all is good. Does anyone have a 971 conversion on here?
In the meantime here is a short clip of the R65.

It came from Colin in the fsw non GS section. Yes it is a tidy little bike, needs a few bits and bobs and a service etc but all there.

Yes I did see that, surprised it was so nice for that much money. Great fun bikes and go really well, don't mind being revved a bit. Only had one of them but proved to be a good bike .

R80GS looks good Flo - what are the specs?:)

With regards to the R65, you got a bargain there. It was Michel that put together the first big bore R65 kit which was later copied by HPN and Fallert I believe. There's an old thread on here somewhere that's well worth digging up:thumby: I take it the R65 doesn't have a big bore kit fitted but you're thinking about fitting one - right:augie:thumb

**Link as follows** - I find it strange that I sometimes forget how old I am but I can remember the specifics of threads posted 4 years ago:nenau

Wow, nice looking bike, and a spare tank and seat with it.

Yes and another airhead for us all to enjoy, here in the UK! Now sold to a great guy called Nick, from this parish!
The bike is going for a makeover and will be ready when he returns from holiday in six weeks......photos will follow.

Florence, top bloke, great bike, nice coffee, never wished for a holiday to pass quickly before but there is a first time for everything
