The annual piss-up in memory of Gert de Jong (Nakambale) will be held on Saturday 31st March 2012 at the Blackwater Hall, 4 miles north of Bridage of Cally on the A93 Blairgowrie to Braemar road. It will be a normal "Blackloonies" event consisting of good food (as per usual beautifully prepared ad cooked by Bhud), good craic and plenty to drink

Gert was a good friend to many of us and I'm sure he'd approve of an annual drinkathon in his name and his memory. There are a few bunks still available at the hall and there's no doubt that Gert would also approve of us inviting folk who, although had perhaps never met him, shared his idea of a good night out.
If you've been in Gert's company or indeed even if you haven't and fancy this event, put your name down for this. It's £10 for your bed (quilt and pillows are provided) which has to be paid to me and you pay Bhud on the night for your evening meal and breakfast.
There are no "ride outs" other then some great roads getting to and from the hall. I pick the keys up and open the hall at 16:00hrs and it's then game on
although some folk usually meet up for lunch or coffee around 14:00 before heading up to the hall. This year we'll meet at the Log Cabin Hotel, Kirkmichael or if that's not open, at the Bridge of Cally Hotel.
If you don't enjoy a really good swallie, then this might not be the event for you
