Been to see my little Mate in Leicester Royal infirmary this evening as he has been diagnosed with a 3.5 cm blood clot in his brain,

For those who know him will realise that we didnt even realise he had one!( a brain that is)

Currently he is under treatment to stop it growing and hopefully if treatment goes well he should back to his normal self in 3 -6 months.

Best wishes buddy ........dont watch to much internet porn in the ward!!!

Latest Update

After more tests he has also got Meningitis and is currently having anti biotics via IV.
He is responding to treatment and Saturday was his worst day. Seems to be over the worst but a bit of a way to go as they are also trying to treat the clot.

Will be going tommorow night to see him and will update more once i have seen him again.

If he's survived this long in hostipal, he'll beat anything.

Been to see him tonight and no change as yet in his condition.

Cheecked his obs chart and his Blood Pressure yesterday was 206/146 which is fecking amazing .....:nenau

He will be in for the next 10 days minimum as long as he starts to repsonds to treatment.

I must say i wouldnt want to be in the ward as there seems to be a shortage of docters and nurses.... if he complains they just give him a complaints form to fill out? WTF is going on in this day and age when you are left to fend for yourself .

Hopefully he might be a bit more lively on Thursday
 
Just a little update now I can type myself, I am getting better slowly not been out of bed much, still have double vision but may be allowed home at the weekend if all is well

Just a quick update.....Meningitus is gone but brain is still swollen so he can't regulate temperature . Latest blood pressure was something stupid like 216 over 146 which means he could have a stroke any minute, next minute he is 128/70 which is normal.

Still in LRI and they won't let him out.

Just a little update
As Beano has mentioned my blood pressure has been a little high at times peaking the other day at 246/183 which is impressive
I may be able to come home Monday but have sickness and dioreah to add to my problems
I still have to wear my sunglasses and am in a darkened room
My family and friends have been great keeping my spirits high
Many thanks to them all and Beano for updating things

will take a little while to regain my sight, and for the brain swelling to reduce and feel stronger

had a bit of a mixed week
the GP wants me to return to the hospital after the weekend if my blood pressure does not decrease alot its still high 190/155, yesterday ( friday ) even though im on tablets for it

double visions still not reducing and still doing a Stevie Wonder impression with the sun glasses on

cant watch tv not that its any good, or do a lot keep falling over
Beano too me to Ashby Foville tuesday , I threw up on the way home as the movement affects me too

will get there slowly

He is fine
keeps waiting by my bike to go out
looks like its going to be a few more weeks till I can see properly
He will have to wait like me lol
