GetGeared Store - Leeds

Am I right in thinking it's in the same building as Hein Gericke and across the road from J&S?
 
Yep, in the same block. You'll find Roger Smith on staff there - he managed Bradford & Leeds HG stores. Great guy to deal with (has 1150 GS).

Yep, he's a lovely guy, even though I always refuse to pay list price :D

He'd only just gone back to manage the reopened Bradford HG store.
 
Looks like Gericke used to be years ago, plenty of kit for servicing and maintainance as well as loads of clothing etc.:thumb2 Might be paying them a visit over the weekend.

Hi,
Have just visited GetGeared and it could of been HG's if I'd had my eyes closed.
They have some good quality gortex textile stuff called HELD.

With Roger and Paul there I am sure they will take some business from both HG and J&S.

Has anybody here got any "HELD" stuff what is it like quality wise, etc.

It's amazing the HELD stuff could have been made in the same factory as HG's stuff and if fact probably is !! ??

Held is great stuff on the whole. It's a quality German brand.
Been using their gloves for years.

+1 :thumb2 I had a fantastic pair of Held kangaroo leather gloves which I bought from a Louis store in Germany near where I worked and they were excellent quality and fit - might have to pop over to Leeds to buy some new ones :cool:

aye good ole Rodger i have his cbr 6 in for a general check over and MOT then swap it for his GS as thats due for its test,must call and see him in the new shop and do bike swap there rather than my place....
 
I was in there on Friday having a snoop round and chatting to a couple off-road pc's looking at the kit. The gear in there looks pretty good IMHO but a touch exspensive after only just buying the GS. I'm going to wait for the Brum MCN bike show to see if I can pick up a deal on some Rukka or HELD gear there.

I recommend a visit though and a ukgser discount would be awesome.
