Getting all horny ....

Around 65mpg at 56mph suggests that the aerodynamics are pretty poor. About 51mpg at 80mph isn't much better than an 1150GS. Those will be test bench constant speed figures.

Unladen weight fully fuelled 249Kgs:eek: Did they find a stock of Victorian pig iron to build it from? It's a 650 twin for heavens sake.

Start to hussle a bit and you'll see 40mpg or less. You'd do better on a 1200GS and it weighs around 30Kgs less.

I am hoping to get one on the 24th March on the launch date - but BMW haven't made it available to order yet, but my deposit is paid.

I have organised a Germany trip in April for seven of us, because I mashed my knee in December, the rest of the lads have decided that there is no way the trip will be able to go ahead and they aren't prepared to go without me.

I received a fair bit of piss taking myself when I told them what I have ordered, but it is the only way I can see of keeping the trip "on."

I am likely to be off my GS for around a year, and this would appear to be the best way of staying on two wheels.

I will keep you posted - this is likely to be the best or worst thing I have ever bought!

I'm liking that a lot too Micky :thumb2

A super scoot makes so much sense......as long as it's in addition to a GS rather than INSTEAD :thumb

Hop on, no mucking about, underseat storage, faster than cars and a fraction of the price to run....cheap to insure, great economy, ok for longer trips as well if necessary :clap

I can't see what there is to dislike.......unless people are that unsure of their own machismo that they'd feel insecure riding one :nenau

You go for it :thumb2

Gosh:eek: I 'm with you all the way :thumb2

Why not just get a Yam T-Max? They handle brilliantly and unless your mates are riding gods you should be able to stay with them.

Cos they are friggin expensive , you can buy the new MV 675 for less fer christ sake.

Isn't the Beemeer set to be about £1500 less?...... and , IMHO , looks better although thats purely subjective of course.;)

Or, what about....

One of these?

Similar money, V twin, but no ABS.

Someone once wrote on this forum...(forgive my paraphrasing)
"There are a great many who have never ridden a GS(A) and know they are crap bikes, and there are some who have ridden a GS and know it is a great machine."

The same will hold good for the BMW scooter models.

I like the look of the Aprilia but I am happy to stick with BMW - mainly because the dealer is good and close to where I live.

Love the Aprilia ... possibly looks better than the BMW Superscoot :thumb

The Honda does nuthin for me :nenau

Thanks ...

:beerjug:

I agree the looks are questionable but it might be worth trying that Honda Micky . Never seen it before but looks like it's a 'big wheeler' which will feel more like a proper bike on the road than that Aprilia or the T Max.:nenau

I like your reasoning :thumb

Or you could try one of these....;)

You don't even need to put your feet down at traffic lights or stop signs, just press a button and the front suspension locks as you come to rest...:rob
