I`m just a small business but I`m getting annoyed with a new form of `con` where by the email sender is pretending to be a supplier or potential customer asking for purchase order numbers , confirming sales , wanting me to check sales invoices , in fact any method so as to click on attachments. I`m the only one who checks the PC so I pick them up but medium and large businesses must be falling for this as the office staff must be tempted to just click on to see what it is. I`m getting 5/6 a day!
Is there a way to stop it?
Thanks Den

My microsoft email account is pretty good at picking up junk mail like that and i usually spots them.

Hi Old Den,

I use spamfighter (free version) catches most of the crap i get at work.

I'd have to say that Gmail picks them out pretty well without any extra software. Every now and again I have a peek at the spam folder and there must be about 15 items a day in there which never reach my inbox.

This - even better convert your email to google apps. Well worth the $5 a month or whatever it costs. We have our whole office on it now, using the entire Google suite of apps (so no need for Microsoft or storing anything locally)
