Getting the bike into a motorhome 'garage'

There is a company in Austria that have several possible solutions for you........I met these guys in Dusseldorf and they had an amazing lift with a 1150 GSA held up high on the back of a motorhome, in a similar way to the davits holding a lifeboat on a ship. Check out www.actionmobil.at

I saw something like this at Tower Hill in London Last week. It was a large RV with an R1150GS slung on the back with alu panniers and topbox. He didn't seem to be having much fun in the traffic:D God only know what he was doing there.

Couldn't take a picture at the time.:blast

Gave him a big :thumb as I went past. It was

Regards,

Path.

There are strict legal requirments regarding the percentage weight distribution over the front and rear axles and with most average size motor homes you can only get away with about 120 kg mounted on a frame across the back.

I tow my GS12 behind my motor home on a trailer without any probs.

Proff
Does your A frame work the brakes on the Pug? If not it is now very illegal :(

On another subject, I'm heading to Devon for business trip in mid Aug, fancy meeting up for a wee spin?

Yes, through a cable attached to brake pedal via a clevis pin.
Depends, we could be in Oonyackistan.
Otherwise, as long as weather is OK I'd love to :thumb
Take 'eee to Zider factory, and the clotted cream mines :):)

EDIT Pug diesel is up for sale as a towcar, we're not using it enough.
Will need MOT, I know it has a noisy front wheel bearings but I do have 2 spare struts.
Spare back Hatch back, as the one fitted was "modified" for clear light lenses [removed immediately cos they woz SHIT !!]
Change bearing in garage and then fit strut with new bearing at leisure :thumb2
Fully kitted with overun brakes and alarmed.
Saxo allys good tyres, electrics of M/H take over car when towing automatically
needs a bloody good clean.
Tow Conversion alone would cost over £800 plus vat.
First £500 can have it, and of course you can tow it away quite legally:D

heading to Plymouth for a meeting on the 13th so will leave Glasgow on the 12th and find a Travelodge or similar for the night. Meeting will end by lunchtime.

I'd say the idea of a modified front axel with a small jockey wheel would be good....

You could even make it extra wide with two wheels outside the forks. if you made it wide enough it may even help balanacing the bike

This is one of may favourite feel good threads!
