Gift wrapping bike prior to shipping

Hi all,

I'm hoping to build a crate (well, my mate's doing it for me) to ship my bike to Aqaba, Jordan. Any thoughts, suggestions, ideas, tips would be much appreciated regarding how to pack it etc.

go to bmw dealer & scrounge one of the crates they get GS's delivered to them in.

yep what cookie said........custom designed for it, and they'll prolly be glad to get rid of one so they don't have to chop it up .........i think other people have had problems with crates and odd wood types being questioned as well.
