I am thinking of purchasing a givi monolock topbox off fleabay and was wondering if I need any additional racks to fit it to my 1150gsa standard rack
It seems to have 2 racks with it but I am not sure if they are of any use I realise one attaches to the actual box but does the other extend my rack???:nenau

Item no 230832160386 (if anybody fancies having a look and letting me know)

Appreciate any help

The items in the box are a fitting kit which is specific to which ever bike the case was fitted too.

Fitting kits all come with screws, spacers, a metal plate (right plate in picture) and a plastic plate (left plate in the picture). The plastic plate screws to the metal plate and your box locks onto the plastic plate.

You probably have to buy a fitting kit specific to your bike. Which might have a different metal plate. You could identify the individual items you would need (screws spacers etc) and order them from Givi but that is likely to be an expensive route.

Have a look on the Givi web site.

At first glance it doesn't look like Givi do a mounting kit for the 1150 GSA only the GS.

So you will have to bodge the fitting anyway. With that in mind what's on offer could probably be made to fit.

Thanks Ian, this is my second post and the you have answered in both

Top man thanks

i believe the monolock system is recommended only for scooters and small bikes. The monokey system is more suited to larger bikes.
