GIVI Monorack on 1100GS

Hi guys does anyone have a GIVI Monorack mounted on an 1100GS, if so any chance of posting a pic or 2, I have a monorack that was gifted to me but it was for an F650 well meaning friend thought it would fit as it was a BMW, ignorance is bliss. I was considering trying to mod this rack to fit to save a few quid (I know very tight).

If you mean the plate that accepts a Givi topbox,yes. I have one on one of my 1100 GSs. I can`t get a good piccie,as the bike is in Carole Nash's repair place following my crash,but I can get the E52 Maxia topbox on ok. I often just put a tailpack on for day to day use.

I mounted a GIVI mounting plate (not as shown above since it`s a H&B luggage rack) on a R11GS last weeknd using the same mounting points. With the supplied brackets you should be able to mount it no problem.

There is a difference between the standard Givi fixing plate for the 1100GS and the Monorack kit. See here and here .

If I were you I'd flog the monorack kit to a 650 owner and buy the correct plate - it's around £30-£40 if I remember correctly.

I stripped the monorack leaving me with just the plate which I attached to the existing rack on the bike, works a treat.
