Hi All,
I am new to the whole forum thing so please be nice to start with
and just got a new (to me) 1200 GS 2008 which I love!
I have got a few jobs done on it already, sat nav fitted, rear rack swapped for Givi rack etc and this is where I need a bit of help as I keep coming up against brick walls. I have a Givi topbox (already fitted) and some Givi E360 panniers which I would like to fit instead of the vario panniers that are already on as I need more space. The E360 boxes are 40 litres each and the varios are 30 litres at best expanded.
I understand the Givi pannier racks sit out wider as obviously the exhaust is in the way on the left side but I can't find anywhere that gives the dimensions of the gap between the pannier rails when fitted to the bike. Even Givi can't tell me (read as .... Can't be bothered to find out)
so I was wondering if anyone has the Givi PL684 pannier racks fitted (pic attached somewhere) and if so, would you be kind enough to measure the width of the rails so I can work out how much wider my Givi boxes will be than the varios when they are fitted as I don't want to struggle filtering. I apologise for the long-winded waffle, and promise it won't happen again.... Till next time!
Cheers all,
Steve
