Was thinking of putting a set of Givi panniers on my GS. Has anyone done this or have most gone with the stock BM panniers? If I put the Givi ones on will they look out of place? And cost is an issue to after spending loads of dosh on a new bike. The other thing is which ones to buy, theirs so many to choose from! Any info on this subject or pictures would be fantastic.

Thanks very much

I know the monokey top box plate fits, and doesn't look too bad, but I'm in the same position as you. I have a GSXF with a wingrack 2, which allows all 3 on the Suzuki, but all the panniers for the GS are narrower, or have a cut-out on the left to accommodate the exhaust pipe. I am going to move the topbox over when I get my bike and when I get my bonus next summer, I'll have some money to pickup a full set of luggage (then I can start my new sticker collection!)

If someone else has experience of fitting side luggage I'd be interested in hearing too!

I went down the Givi route. If you have existing boxes, then the rails for the panniers are about £80. They don't look too bad as they are black tubular so look a bit 'touratech'. Not sure of the cost of the monorack base for the top box.

The rails come out far enough so that there is no problem with the exhaust. They have bought the right hand side out as well to make it symmetrical but this does mean that it's a bit of a wide old bus with the 2 E46 boxes on the back.

I got my boxes off ebay brand new from Italy for £219 delivered.
