'At my first look thread' refers to fitting a BF 11 ring to the GS.
On my last two GSA's (15 & 17) the BF17 ring is recommended and swapped across.
I did notice on my 17 GSA when I removed the ring it had been rubbing the paint on the tank to the front of the fuel filler.
On my 19 GSA the BF17 ring again appears to be just touching the paintwork even with some adjustment.
What I am wondering is whether the BF11 would be better even though the BF17 the recommendation.

I have the 11 fitted and it doesnt touch anywhere except the tank ring itself.

I ditched my Givi bag after trying to fit the BF11 tank ring. it is clearly going to mark the fuel filler ring and possibly the tank. don't forget you are tightening down on a plastic ring and the screws will naturally try and force the plastic into the fuel ring holes. there have been issues with keyless bikes where the cap won't open. I opted for the SW Motech option which sits on dowels and hence is not touching the fuel filler ring.
