GIVI tank Lock Tank Bag

Has any one fitted the ring device for the above on the tank filler cap on the R1200RT.

GIVI site doesn't show one for the RT so I was looking for the work round. Currently fitted on a Triumph 1050 Tiger.

Fitted mine on Saturday as it happens. Replaced the bolts with some M5x50 bolts. The ring won't fit if you mount flush with the cap, so I bought some nylon spacers off ebay so the ring stands off the tank and is just high enough for the bag to clear the tank rails.

However, there is a minor issue. The red release knob makes contact with the bars on full right lock. Not a major issue but worth considering.

Thanks for the quick reply and the link which is very useful.

The bag I am using is the small thermoformed 4L max capcity bag so should be OK when the bars are on full lock.

It's not the bag that catches; it's the red knob to release the ring. I don't think it's any smaller on the little bag as it's only just larger than the tank ring it goes around.

Just bought & fitted the Adapater to mine with great advice from daesimps about the spacers and 50mm bolts.
Works a treat, thanks!

Older style tank ring

Hi All

Just for info, I have the "Older Style" Ring fitted and it works fine, The bag fits nice a snug and does'nt interfer with the bars....see pics below
