givi top box

looking to buy givi top box and mounting plate .gs1200
as can not fit lid inside bmw top box....(good design)
any help thanks

The box carries masses of gear.....two helmets. Some GSers have had problems with the mounting plate mounting bolts snaping, but I have not had any problems so far.

I used to really hate top boxes, but I leave this thing on the 'bike all the time...

Ibrought a new one with my 1100rt as it was a £150.00. cheaper than the bmw box (and better capacity). have now got it 10 years later (i've just realized) on my GS. Brilliant don't hesitate brilliant box.

I concur 100% with the above.

I've also had no mounting plate problems (touch wood).

I've got a Givi monokey topbox - I think it's 46l (fits 2 full face helmets) which I only used for a couple of hundred miles. It's like new and has a mounting plate but no rack ( the rack is for a Z750S).

If you are interested I am looking for £40 plus pandp.

The V46 also holds two full face helmets and can also be wired to have an additional light fitted, obviously not as big as the 52L but IMO looks better. Suppose it all depends on what you will be using it for but it ceratainly is better built than the OE BMW boxes that seem to fail on a regular basis. Bought mine from Hein Gericke.
