Does anybody use BMW Alky luggage with Givi/KAPPA top boxes? Givi do 42/58l and KAPPA only 42l. Both makes are identical as KAPPA is givi's sister company. How do these work with the OEM luggage, is it possible to pen panniers with these top boxes fitted or are they to wide (58l in particular)?

Thank you.

I'm running the 58l Givi Box with 37l Kappa panniers on my 1150. With the fitting plate in the normal position on the rack, you can open the pannier lid on the exhaust side, but not the other. I've had to move the box back as far it will go on my fitting plate to enable me to open both boxes. No problems with handling but I'm not happy with the setup and may change to a smaller box.

I'd be interested in your 58L Givi box if you decide to sell.

Hi
I'm using the BMW GSA Ali Panniers with the Givi Trecker outback 58L top box.
With the Top box fitted you can open the BMW panniers but you have to move them to one side slightly to open them fully, the tops of the panniers are quite flexible and so it doesn't damage the panniers and the top box matches the panniers quite well.

Aye, I use the same system, no problem at all. The Givi top case is a beauty :)

I am using my Vario top box at the moment but have to be carefull when I open panniers as the lids do hit grab rail and potentially will damage it. So it seem that maybe a 42L Trecker be a better choice to eliminate any issues although I like the idea of more space you get with 58L Trecker box. Thank you for Posting a photo as this gives us all and Idea what it looks like. I love your custom graphics.

PS. can you possibly upload a few more photos please. one of the view from the rear to see how the box actually looks along the panniers and another of a paneer lid "hitting" top box?

Regards
