Chaps, I'm looking to switch to the above setup and was wondering if anyone who currently has a Givi 46Litre Trekker case mounted as a top box with Givi SR690 mount would do me a favour? I'd like them to drop a line vertically down the back of the pannier and tell me at what point the line touches the passenger seat ( or how far behind the seat it touches).

I'm looking to give my pillion a bit more space and don't know whether the above setup would do the trick.

Thanks in advance
Rich

I'll have a look later on and get back to you , from memory though there is plenty of space

Apologies Dick, dont want to highjack your thread mate but ive just had an SR689 delivered today. I was under the impression the rack came with pillion brag handles, there's certainly some shown in the pics ive seen of it. My kit arrived minus the grab handles. HAs anyone fitted one of these recently and confrim its meant to have the grab handles please?

Cheers

Hi - It should have grab handles - you need to remove the plastic BMW luggage rack in order to fit it too - all the pics I have seen of the SR689 have grab handles, mine is on order so I'll let you know as soon as it arrives. If you Google Givi SR689 and click on the images tab you'll see how it should look.

You're right. The supplier rang Givi Uk who confirmed it. Theyre going to send them out. Ta.

I haven't got a 1200 (thank feck ;) ) but I have just got the Trekker, and comparing it to my old kapa top box (standard rounded style) you gain approx 30mm extra room using the Trekker
