GIVI V46 Topbox

After looking through the site and seeing the problems people have had with the OE topbox I decide to go for a GIVI V46. Arrived today and discovered the damn thing won't stay shut...bugger
Anybody else had problems with these or have I just been unlucky.
Needless to say it's going back tomorrow.

Not having a god mate, but are you sure you've closed it right? They can be a right bugger if they're even slightly over full.

Take a breath, leave it for a while, and if it still doesn't want to play ball, let someone else have a go. If it really is knackered, Givi are good at replacing, and (if 2nd hand) they list a full range of spares.

Thanks for the encouragement Wizard. The box was brand new and I took it back to the dealer today. Box was replaced without any hassle and new one now fitted ready for it's maiden run to Skye next weekend.

Had one of these for a year and you do have to be careful closing it. The key has to be in the full 45 degree position, and you have to push the catch closed firmly and evenly, not just the top or the bottom.

As Wizard says, it's normally when its very full that you have to be careful and I always use the strap inside and give the lid a firm pull to check its closed.

Otherwise it's a far superior box to the BWM one, and looks better too.
