Giving North Wales the Bullet

Steve - what a great report and pics - thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

I had a 350 Enfield, but swapped it for a Guzzi Falcone 500 - that was amazing - it fired every lamp-post - but kept getting confused with the foot controls being reversed - so swapped it for an old R60/7 - lovely old girl!!

Also into Urals - I ride a 2002 North Star, and also have a 2004 Classic, which is off the road at the mo - can only insure 4 bikes on one policy, unfortunately!!

I've been drooling over that 2009 Camo outfit on Fleabay, but already have a Kwacker GTR 100/Squire outfit that don't run right, so that is sat taking up valuable garage space - so ANOTHER outfit would go down like a lead balloon with SWMBO!!

We had a great holiday in 06 at Bala in our Romahome, but didn't know about this route you took - we also came around the south of Lake Bala to
Llanuwchllyn, then took a beatifully scenic road towards Mynydd Bryn-Llych and Bronaber - you have to pass through about 5 gates on the way - but what a great location to wild camp - dunno if it's allowed, though.

I feel another visit to N Wales coming on - we were thinking about Bavaria this year - but with the exchange rate so low, may knock it on the head till thing improve. We now drive a Mazda Bongo, and would love to trail the quad
bike up to your region and do some exploring on that, leaving the Bongo on site.

Eeeeeeeeeeehhhh....!

That brought back some fond memories :), from when Lisa lived in Tywyn and I'd ride back to Leicester of a Monday morning via Dinas, Lake Vyrnwy and occasionally the Pass of the Cross. Stunning in the early spring...
Ourselves and a certain Mr Mawson have also spent time taking pics of GSs in trees there as well, pre-dig though ;)

Thanks for posting!

Lovely pics and report. I know those roads well.

Small pedantic point - its Llyn not Lyn and Birmingham's water comes from the Elan Valley reservoir complex. As you rightly say Lake Vyrnwy was financed by Liverpool Corporation to provide water for them.
