To be honest i have absolutley no experience of GPS. I have been reading the threads to see what opinions are out there tho. I know that a quest would do the trick but the cost is putting me off at the minute. Just stumbled across this-

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?TabID=1&ModuleNo=48335&doy=1m3

What i was wondering is, does anyone have any experience of them and are they any good. From what i've seen it'll do what i want, which is - get me home when i've just ridden somewhere without paying attention, plan a basic route and have the unit re-route me if i make a horlics of it. Plus a bit of guidance when i'm on foot in a city.

I've had a read of the spec but it might as well be in Dutch to me!. I realise that its not going to be waterproof, but I'm sure that and a bike mount could be overcome with a bit of thought.

Well, it says it has:-

Gizmondo Navigator 2006 is powered by CoPilot navigation, which turns Gizmondo into a powerful voice-guided Sat Nav System.
Just key-in a house number or post code and Gizmondo will guide you there, with turn-by-turn voice directions, clear colour street maps and automatic route calculation that will take you to the door.

CoPilot is competent GPS navigational software, how well it will run on the Gizmondo is anyone’s guess (And it won’t like rain...)

You may get a Gizmondo bargain as they have liquidated. Actually not quite but are trying, most of the Directors were Mafia and are being prosecuted for laundering money.
