I took the day off work today and had a run up to Glen Lyon.

Mike Hyde's (Boxertools) family and friends were erecting a picnic table at the tearoom at Bridge Of Balgie in Mike's memory. I took pics of the table but I'll post them once Mike's daughter Mary (Minitools) has posted her own photographs from today.

It was a bit chilly but a cracking run up. The roads had to be treated with a bit of respect due to pine needles, greasy surfaces and lots of mud left by farmers.

Road closures near Fortingall meant that I'd to take the long way round and head over by Ben Lawers.

I couldn't really complain mind you when you get scenery like this

A familiar sight to lots of SS members. We now have our very own bench to sit at thanks to the Hyde family.

We were up here three weeks ago at the Killin weekend but the landscape has changed dramatically in that time. A sunny, autumn afternoon takes some beatin'...

Mike's wife Caroline built a cairn at a hidden waterfall, near to the tearoom. A favourite spot of Mike's.

Thats a great gesture Ronno:thumb2 I'm sure minitools will put some pics up on her return. The tea rooms a great spot and i'm sure Mikes table will get teh recognition it deserves.
