on the way back from the highlands one year i bought myself a book only read it last night, glencoe, bout the campbells an the mc donalds :( never gonna have a bowl a that campbells soup again, dirty cnuts :aidan

Your lucky I married a Campbell!!!!!

Thankfully I saw the light and it's all sorted now, no more waking each morning thankfull that my throat hadn't been cut during the night and all my sheep stolen....

Wee bit unfair ...

on the Campbells. The real villain of the piece is William Dalrymple, the Marquis of Stair and his boss William of ******. (No surprises for the Irish there then!)

The people who did the deed were led by a Campbell officer. William Campbell of Glenlyon if memory serves but the troops he led were a mixture of men. What they had in common was the fact that they were enlisted in the "British army" or what became the British army after 1707.

(Married to a Macdonald!)

The Strathassynt Guest House, Ballachulish is warm & friendly. :thumb2

Run by a couple of Geordies, Mike & Chris.
"Hey Mike/Chris - yer breakfasts are fantastic, and the portions are huge!"
Pub over the road, Scotland at your doorstep.
