Round 4 British downhill championship Glencoe.
We went up to Glencoe for round 4 a few weeks ago and for the first time Ollie got a chance to practice on the Friday before the event so we knew he’d go well. Track was fast and open which suited him as he loves the jumps and air time. Uplift was running well all weekend so plenty of practice runs on the Friday and Saturday including the seeding run for Sundays race.
Sunday dawned and heavy overnight rain had washed out large sections exposing loads of rocks. He went off for a practice run and was gone for quite a while so we started to get a bit concerned but he was fine however, the bike wasn’t with two puncture’s and damaged rims. A quick wheel change and he got on the last practice run before his race run. He stayed calm and kept it together to finish Just outside the top ten ( out of 72 ) so a fantastic result.
Back down to Wales in September for the next round.
Yes the midges were horrific btw !

Great work. (You can see that great scottish fashion accessory...the midge net head covering...worn by some in one of the photos)
