Fine regarding choice but about 10 years ago I stopped and advised a youngster on a DT125 LC regarding his lack of gloves , wearing trainers and jeans etc , of course he knew much better than the nasty polis who just happened to have been riding bikes for over 30 years at that time .
Next time I saw him he was not long out of hospital after months of operations to sort out skin grafts on his hands, legs and ankles , two broken wrists and a badly broken ankle (with a badly chamfered bone).
MInd you I did rip the piss out of him by telling him 'I told you so'.
Makes me cringe every time I see riders without gloves, boots and proper kit
