R1200GSA - anyone know anything about the bike please. Up for sale at a BMW dealership but this being quite a distance from the original registration location, I thought I would ask the question.

Thanks in advance

Don't worry they are supposed to travel vast distances. I've even known some go as far as Devon from here.

I bought mine in Oxford, at six months old I wondered why it had been traded in. The first owner came from Wales, had money to spend and changed his bikes frequently.

People go to where the stock is and the deals can be done

This bike was used as a getaway vehicle in a large diamond robbery. The thieves thrashed it and crashed through a barbed wire fence landing in a salt farm decapitating themselves. You can still see the slight scratches on the seat and frame.
One of the diamonds ended up in the gearbox so there may be a clunk into first and the salt attacked the engine but BMW will replace that.
Just buy it :)

Don't forget to ask the dealer how many engines has it had .

Just run in so. JJH

Bought my 2012 K1600 in Guildford, traded it for an FJR1300AE/ES in Lancashire - couldn't get any enthusiasm from dealers in the South as they couldn't be bothered to get a decent underwrite in the trade. Money was too easy for them, so they could pick & choose - the 'low hanging fruit' arguement. Any BMW dealer can tell you the bikes full history, so I don't see the problem, subject to a good warranty.
