Hi everyone
I just thought I would write a small post
Last week I was invited to my local dealership to view the new gs800 and gs700 it was ok but I felt very out of place .I walked around the showroom a couple of time and tried to strike up a conversation with several fellow riders but was just ignored.
My dad is a member of the BMW owner club and I was only reading last week in his magazine how the club has lost several thousand members ,it no wounder if people are treated like this ,the clubs should be trying to get younger people through the door just because I don't walk round with all the BMW gear on doesn't mean I'm not interesting people just walk round with there noses in the air like there something else it totally puts me of the whole experience.
Rant over cheers rob

They probably thought you was a predator ! Looking for love .

Don't, whatever you do, go to a bike cafe at the weekend as you'll be in for a whole world of disappointment.:rob:comfort

If you were the guy walking round in altberg boots, a pink tutu and a agv helmet it's no wonder we ignored you?!!!!!!!!

:thumb2

What bike did you arrive on?

If you didn't arrive on a bike all the bikers would ignore you.

If it wasn't a GS all the GS riders would ignore you.

If it was a GS all the owners of other GS models would ignore you.

If it wasn't a BMW all the BMW owners would ignore you.

If it was an Adventure bike, of any brand, all the non adventure bike owners would ignore you.

If it was a sports bike all the non sports bike owners would ignore you.

If it was a touring bike all the non touring bike owners would ignore you.

Where are you from? If you're a northerner all the southerners would ignore you.

Don't take it personally. A mate of mine has recently done his direct access & bought his 1st bike. He can't believe how much snobbery & belittling there is between the various biking groups/brands/models etc etc etc. He's 52 so trust me, it's not an age thing.

Motorcyclists are just people. We have to have someone to look down on, it makes us feel better about our lives & ourselves, no matter how much we hate either/both of those things.

:hug

Typical stupid post from a R1200 owner :D. :thumb

Bit slow to reply as I've been busy. Let me know you're coming and I'll get biscuits as well.

It will get worse... now I am an oldy with a BMW everyone wants to talk and I don't. :blagblah

Only kidding... I often go to dealers with my son 23 and I can't leave him alone, always chatting to someone. I think you were unlucky.
