Yep Mrs L and myself will be heading your way for the last week of June and the first week of July Our plan is:-


Depart Harwich to Esbjerg
Esbjerg to Hirtshals
Hirtshals to Kristiansand.
Head for Egersund
Egersund spend a night in in Egersund.
Leave Egersund and on to Odda.
From Odda to Turtagro
Then Turtagro and head for Gol.
Gol to Tyssdal.
Tyssdale to Haugesund
then from Haugesund to Kristiansund
Leave Kristiansand to Hirtshals

Depart Esbjerg for Harwich ..... Home

We've already done:-
The Atlantic Rd
The North Sea Rd
Eagle Rd
Trollsteigen
Lysebotn
Geiranger
Alisund

So this year we will explore some roads in the south

Roads and routes is covered well in the sticky here, I probably do not have much to add. But stay away from anything "E", especially E6 and E18. Police, trucks, heavy traffic, no pass zones, ... Hmm, pretty much the roads you have mapped out?

Enjoy your ride! I will not be in Oslo when you pass here, or I'd take you for a guided tour.

PS: There are ferries from the tip of Denmark and Copenhagen to Gothenburg and Oslo. E6 Malmö to Oslo is just a straight motorway, boring as hell.

visiting Norway in August

My son and I are arriving in Kristiansand around 15 August and leaving 27th. No itinerary yet, and planning to take it slow and easy around Southern Norway. (Always the best plan on an Electraglide )

Possibly over ambitious 5500 miles June 12th to 28th. Planning 5 500 mile days up through Sweden, then seeing how it goes back down through Norway. Gonna make use of the daylight & wild camp as much as possible

Not only fluent in English but fluent in English insults to boot! All in the best possible taste of course!

We're heading over next week and will spend 3 weeks in Sweden and Norway.
The plan is to ride to Copenhagen then Malmo, Gothenburg, Jonkoping and Stockholm. Then, family visits are done and we'll head north, cross to Trondheim then follow the roads south to Bergen and down to Kristiansand for ferry yo Denmark, finishing with the Esbjerg ferry back to Blighty.

Have found the various routes in Norway from other threads but will make it up as we go along!

Enjoyed visiting Norway on the bike immensely a few years ago so we are going back this year and taking something a bit bigger than the 1150....

Heading off at the end of August Sweden, Finland then back south along the Norwegian coast. Me, Blondie on the KTM and camping all the way

Hmmmmm have yet to think like biker, doing the ski thing in feb which prob rules out bike..... Or maybe not...... Next summer definitely so will copy routes thanks guys love Norway
