Going to see this next week

Talk about timing, I got a call from the hospital today I go for my back op on the 1 June. I will still go look at the bike and if worth it get it and store it until fit again.

My AT has just gone to it's new owner:(

I loved it, for a Honda they really do have some character so I'm sure you'll enjoy yours:thumb

XRV

Excellent bikes I'm loving mine - had it for a couple of months now. It was about the same price and mileage as yours. I have now put another 4K on it - more than the last owner did in 4years !!

The bike is in W12 I am in SE12 Lewisham, I am now going to see it Friday at 6pm!!!!!!

He only has half hour but it should be enough time for me to decide if all is OK.

If anyone is in west London around 6pm then feel free to join me. Although I will not be deciding till it has been MOT's as mentioned on here by several people.

Thanks everyone.

I do wish you well with this; but...

The current owner is prepared to spend money on all those new parts, but not on an MOT?
Nor is he prepared to spend more than 30 minutes on selling it !

My Spidey senses would be tingling. If he asks for bank account details so he can sort out payment through foreign accounts, run. And don't stop.

Just my 2p worth. You did ask for serious things to watch for :aidan

Thanks Brian and Kenny hands off it's mine!:rob

He is happy for me to see it next week I am the one pushing to see it this week as I am like a little child on Christmas eve. (Ok a very tall nutty one)

Timolgra all I can say is :D

The link that you provided shows how far the bike is from a postcode - your postcode I imagine.

Call me paranoid, but I would not want my postcode listed as I was about to get a new bike.

I don't suppose you can edit that post to remove the link now, but maybe a mod could.

[Edit]. Great bikes though - hope it works out.

Opps did not think about that thanks, luckily not going to be at mine for a bit as will be hidden from my parents who are arriving on 30 May! I am not sure they will appreciate me getting a bike when I am about to have a back operation :blast

Ok things did not quite go as planned and the bike is not as good cosmetically as I thought but still a good deal at the price so hopefully I will be picking it up next week.

I then went and spent teh evening at the Ac Cafe watching idiots pop their tyres with a few mates. I great day all in all as I went and frightened the deer in Richmond park before hand!

OK I am really excited some people will see the bike and go thats not nice and new and shiny, but I like the lived in look to be honest, that way I don't have to be all precious about it if I do drop it.

So one happy bunny here and hopefully all will go really really well once I collect it.

One of the reason dirt/trail bikes are cool is they look better a little used :thumb

Congrats on the new bike! :clap

Nice one :)

Look forward to hearing all about it when you pick her up.........will you get much of a chance to ride her before the op?

Andres

Probably not a lot of time to play but I will hopefully have her by Wednesday so will have a few days. I do have to be a little careful as my day out on the scooter has left my foot a little number than usual so will see what happens as a numb left foot is not good for riding. :JB:JB

Crumbs

I was begining to feel like an expectant father toward the end there. Hope you enjoy the bike, Im just the other side of the heath. I will wave if I see your bike before the 1st
