Hi all

anyone know any?

riding from hull to aragon down and back in 6 days

looking for anything around 25 miles from track

also any ideas re anywhere near Tarbes, Angouleme,Milau & Troyes

any advice /help greatfully accepted

I went to the MotoGP this year. The circuit is more or less in the middle of nowhere and there aren't that many hotels around. Nearest town is Alcaniz but there is not much there.

There is a nearby Parador but it was booked out. It is expensive mind.

I stayed in the Hotel Corona in Tortosa but it was round 70 miles from the circuit.

I think you will be suprised by the lack of nearby options.

etap tarbes stayed there this year, basic but cheap. theres a buffalo grill a stones throw away, like most etaps.

I stayed with Phil and Belinda for a week in June and have no hesitation in recommending their establishment.

If you fancy a really spectacular ride to the circuit try my mate Stuart....his details are below.
The road in from him would be Aldover, Xerta, Prat de Compte and Horta de Sant Joan.....then due west..... about 60 miles in total (check it out on Via Michelin...its a cracker!)
You will actually go past my 'front door' but I have no accomodation to offer other than free camping!
I will probably be out there as well...and again for the GP in September.
Tell Stuart I sent ya...He has a couple of 'apartments'....and a pool...and a well equiped garage....and loads of cheapo tinto....but be warned ...he generally cracks open a 3 litre bottle for breakfast!

Elvie and I stayed in the Etap in Troyes a couple of years ago. Excellent location, about 200 metres walk to the medieval town centre with loads of cafes and restaurants. No garage parking, but off road up a ramp behind the hotel, and you can ask for rooms overlooking the bikes. I'd happily park/stay there again.
