with MRA do you need to have Gold and Navigation Next to make it a viable system?

=======

I have started you a fresh thread. This is in the belief (hope) that the forum’s answering of what are your three separate questions will best be achieved by separating them.

I believe that a subscription to Navigation Next allows access to a limited version of the MRA route planner with HERE maps so that routes can be created. But its a question that would be best answered by the MRA themselves here.

I have lifetime Gold membership for both and find it good VFM for me.

Using Myroute app route planner is much "nicer" for want of a better word on a device larger than a phone. However, because its online all you need is a device with a browser and access to the internet. This can be a WindowsPC, Mac, Chromebook, Linux device IOs or Android device. That's the beauty of the system if you want to create/alter routes on the fly, if you are on tour.

However, if you have downloaded the maps relevant to your travels the phones does not need to be online during navigation. I always navigate with MyRoute app offline.

I have survived with just the navigation app option. Not needed all the bells and whistle's yet of gold membership. As stated, for planning on the fly or indeed at home on a large screen its simple. Using the routes on anything other than a dedicated phone mirror or phone is less easy
