There's no going back!

Have fun, but beware I test rode last weekend and was blown away! So much so I am picking up mine today!
Am up and ready to be at Cotswold BMW for 8.30am, I will be waiting for them!
It's so good I'm trading my k1300s!

Enjoy :thumby: I'm just popping out on mine before the world gets going.

Make sure you know how to change modes etc before you set off. That way you will be able to experience the full versatility of this bike.
Have fun.

I saw it in the car park!!! I was there at 10.00!!!

So I had the day off, unusual for me in July, the weather didnt look promising but that doesn't worry me. I woke up early and it looked dry and bright and warm, I decided to ride my old yellow 1150 :D in to Cotswold, after 10.00 I was told as there was a handover with our K1300 friend. I fired up my bike and it started to piss petrol all over the floor, its done it before and just needed a screw driver to tighten up the clip (was it worried about the WC1200?), so that fixed I rode into Glos and was greeted by Alex North a top chap. he bought round me a red WC and gave me the key, briefly explained about modes and ESA, but I am rubbish with that stuff. I am quite famiiliar with the decent roads that cross Gloucestershire, Worcestershire and south wales.
I rode down to the trafffic lights trying to figure where the clutch worked how many gears it had (6 I think), Instantly it felt like a BMW, there was the familiar click between first and second gear and the geometry felt familiar straight away.
So I set off for ledbury via good A and B roads. I felt like it didnt ride like I thought it would which suprised me, then cramp in my right hand gave me the clue, It was a bike, relax and ride it. And I did.
My impressions were it was quick, plenty quick enough with very rapid smooth acceleration, I deliberately rode the same roads as I had on the 1190, am I a bmw man? maybe but I found the WC very easy to ride.
I had a quick blat on the M50 to Ross to check out the 6th gear being to low comments, well I didnt worry, it showed no signs of running out of steam or drowning in noise!
So Ross to Aber then to Chepstow, Tintern Monmouth forest of Dean then ledbury again and back to Glos. Any one who knows the area will testify they are great roads.
So to sum up, the bike was easy to ride, handled well, quick, confortable and economical.
How ever it is still a Bavarian tractor, be it more refined than before, and for that I was grateful, the KTM didnt do it for me but this did.

Thank feck for that - somebody who knows his bikes and how to ride one ... :thumb

Well it's a small world! I must of past you as I picked mine up.
I have had a great day, was a little apprehensive dropping of my K but a day on the bike has confirmed it was the right choice, comfortable, fast and confident.
Have put 230 miles on today and tried out the rain setting in the monsoon this afternoon (it softens all the inputs)
Was asked why I bought at Cotswold rather than Bristol and it as simple as Cotswold were open last Sunday and Alex dealt with me very well, got what I felt was a fair deal and so from test ride last Sunday to being on a fully loaded TE today. Not Bad!
Would also add that I thought my new bike today was smoother than the demo bike that David rode and reviewed today and that I test rode last week.
