Good-bye South East ...

Cheers Captain

It was good to get to know you Panos, even for the short time we got acquainted around Surrey. WIsh you all the best in your new playground and look forward to meeting you again sometime. At least you'll be able to practise in the sand down there eh. :augie:augie

Good Luck in Sidmouth

Hey Panos

See ya

Good luck Captain!

I'll second what everyone has said really, thanks for showing me the delights of group riding for the first time, and a few decent roads along the way :beerjug:

I'm sure you'll have a new ring sorted in no time.
All the best :thumb

:o

To you all - especially the 'Newlands Mob' ...

Thanks guys for all your very kind words . . .I'll keep you posted through this thread to some of the questions you have asked.

I must say it has been a pleasure to have riden with you all - you all rode so well together-especially the newbies to group riding... yes one or two did decide to check the construction and build quality of a Seat Leon on occasions... :blast.... some of you insisted on taking me across sand even though I have a real phobia riding a 12GSA on the stuff. Some asked what was my record blat time doing the the ring...so they could try and beat it... others decided to just lead us into deep water whilst on Salisbury Plain ...:D a few just met me at Newlands for a chat, a cuppa and a quick blat ... :augie - others followed me to the Ace Cafe via Birmingham ... :o ... many have helped me pick up my bike either off road or at the entrance to Newlands car park :o... one of you answered my post on the wanted thread to provide me with a place to stay :thumb ..some of you produced many infamous videos ... taken great photos of us :bow :clap but all of you guys have become my friends and have now found each other to ride together-thank you again-until the next time :beerjug:

:tears

...ride safe

Cheers Panos

Just an additional thanks from me .. My first ever ride out was with the Newlands crowd .. Only had 300 miles on the bike and decided to take on the Captains Ring.. Bike was VERY well run in that day !!

Thanks again Panos..

And PJ I think you will have to take on the role of Captain at least when you can feel the handlebars that is :)

Cheers

Steve

Very camp I would say, as it looks decidedly like my tent which he forgot to hang out to dry(For the 2nd time). Anyway Panos, couldn't have asked for a better lodger. Come in, make tea, go to bed, get up, make tea, go to work, come in, make tea etc interspersed with visits to wife, playing on the plain,
and visits to the Mids do and Wales. Hardly knew you were here.
Best of luck in your new venture

 Well Matt -thank you for the tent ... if I recall - the first time I used your tent you said ..."don't worry about it Panos I'm off this week-I'll hang it up to air" ...

:P The second time I brought it back I did hang it up the following day- it was warm and sunny - I even wiped the bottom of it! ... it did end up however having more cut grass all over it from the mowing you did the day before!!! ... ... :P

Very camp I would say.

:spitfire Hmm......

Thank you so so much Matt and Rachell for sharing your home with a complete stranger ... You really helped me so much. :clap:clap:clap
I am truly grateful ... :bow

........even though Rachel would insist on either knocking on my bedroom door whilst I'm just in my underpants ...

.........or not knocking and walking straight in whilst I'm laying on top of the bed ... :eek ...
but thankfully for all concerned I was fully dressed at the time!...:D

Cheers mate ... :thumb

Just wanted to echo some of the other comments. Thanks for your patience with us 'newbies', I felt much more confident about ride-outs having survived the Captain's ring!

Do post on this section once you've moved, and opened the deli, so we can plan a trip down.

Thanks again

Jo

All the above seconded:thumb2 (I was mates at school with the guys that run Wheeldon farm, looks like they've done well)

Jez (another escapee)

I just saw this thread and was thinking about KTM Adventure Tours that was running a few years ago - and googled Wheeldon Farm - got this -

"We regret that KTM Adventure Tours no longer operates from Wheeldon Farm."

Captain, I hope the 'removals' went smoothly.

Once I get back to UK I'll take a road trip, I hope maybe an early morning blat to Lands End then pick up some nice produce from your Deli on the return leg followed by a detour back to Fareham via Andover for some of Bakermans wares.

Good luck with the new venture.:thumb2
