Well I am probably preaching to the converted but just in case anyone is not convinced.. I took Dak up to the midlands last weekend then went out on sunday with my lads and two other tossers, dirty dog and mutley, into Wales where we played off road all day, I have not done anything like this before but found the dakar inspired confidence and never faltered. On the road it performed very well and did not fall behind the bigger bikes, 1200s and 1150s, though I did have to wring its neck on occassions but it seemed to just love that. I then rode back down to Cornwall today taking as much of the off motorway route as I could. Having spent the best part of three days in the saddle I was sore but surprised that it wasnt worse. I was a bit surprised at the fuel cosumption though, people on here have been saying that they have been getting upwards of 80 mpg( which I doubted) but I seem to be nearer to 56 or so. I did take it a bit easier on the way home so it will be interesting to see if that has made a lot of difference.I have always had bm twins before but I am very impressed with the ability and go of the 650 and the handling when being pushed is excellent. all in all I think I made the right choice.Nope, I know I made the right choice...
Makes me laugh, i'm the one who's got the rep in our family as the headtheball and on sunday Pastyman was going at it like a loon. Granted from behind the overtakes may have looked worse than they were but Flipfly was throwing his toys out at some of the stuff pasty was doing. Me i'm all for live and let live, just try not to take anyone else out when you go
hey ho, twas an ace day though, can't wait to do it again. Pastyman you need to move back up here, flip and myself miss riding out with you and taking the piss
