GOOD GSER ROADS NEEDED PLEASE !

Hi,
we are new tossers from the mids, but are in need of some good roads, we are staying in a cottage near kettlewell in the dales for a week from 19th may. can anyone help, or would anyone like to meet up? we know our way round sedbergh, heartside cafe, the lakes and devils bridge, but not done the yorkshire dales, any routes or places to see would be great.
we did our first gser`s event at llangollen, had a brill time and met some great people. also hi to ian boyd and wife if you happen to read this thead.
oh i ride a blue 650gs and other half rides a 1200gs adv.

In particular:

The Old Coal Road

Road NE out of Kettlewell

Road from Kettlewell over Fleet Moss

Devils Bridge to Old Coal Road

And back again for most of them

I live in Northallerton, the County Town of North Yorkshire. If you want to spend a day I'd be pleased to show you some of my favourite roads. (I'm Plod, and know where to stay 'safe' if you know what I mean

You can'\t go wrong really - all the roads around there are belting.

You could try heading to Hawes, Garsdale head and then Kirby Stephen, over to Tanhill, down to Thwaite and back to Hawes over the Buttertubs pass

The road from Leyburn to Tanhill via Reeth is a belter, as is the road from Reeth to Barnard Castle.

The World (well God's own Country) is your Oyster as the say - fill your boots!

I'd also say is worth taking a wee trip over to the Lakes to do Wrynose pass etc. too.

I would agree with all the above,with only one word of caution, if you are doing the fords, walk the one that looks a doggle at Gayle before you attempt it on yer bike . Lots of folk dont, to their embarasment !!
