Wot Skygod said in your other thread....what price???

Welcome to the forums by the way :)

you can always check here
http://www.bmw-dealernet.co.uk/

and see if any of the other dealers have a similar bike and judge the price from there. Only reasons to buy from a BMW dealer is to get BMW Finance or the warantee , but double check who the warantee is with and what it covers. A Y reg isnt going to get you the brillaint BMW assist type warantee you would enjoy one of the new bikes, but more likely just parts and labour on specific items. Dont forget its a buyers market when it comes to the older bikes, so if you really do like the bike see what kind of deal you can get out of them, they probably already screwed a grand at least out of the guy they bought it off.

But when all said and done if the bike is the one you want and you can afford the price why worry ? They are a good bike and you will enjoy riding it. If the idea of paying nearly £5k for a y reg bike is putting you off, just look at the conditon a jap bike of the same mileage and age is in. Then go buy the GS :)

Sounds a bit dear.

Why dont you take a look at FLashmans bike. Its for sale on here.

For an extra grand you get a bike that 2 years younger with less than 1/2 the mileage and with some nice valuable extra kit on it.

If you stick 20,000 miles on that one from the dealer you may well find it hard to sell on again but buy Flashmans bike and it would still have done less than 40,000miles and be saleable.
