Just popped into SPC this afternoon to see how my order was coming along and had a pleasant surprise. Not only had my bike arrived but it would be ready next week. A couple of weeks earlier than expected and all with a smile.

Often it's easy to simply knock dealers and then forget to mention when they get it right, something I've been guilty of in the past. So here goes...

Nice one guys! Keep up the good work.

Anyone else got any good experiences at SPC they wish to share?

Good job you popped in.

How did they manage to get your bike early?

and they'd called you to tell you this had they ?

Erm - sorry - but I don't call that good service .

If it was me running a business I'd be onto the phone to the customer before it arrived telling them it was arriving early - cos they MUST know.

It only takes 2-3 hours to uncrate a bike and 1-2 hours max to PDI a bike.

( although its been known by me n one other to uncrate and pdi and hand-over in 2 hours easily. )

( including 'running-in ' :) )

Had a problem with a faulty headset on my autocom, emailed Doug at Autcom who said as its only 6 months old SPC would replace it if it was faulty.Just come off the phone to them and was told that the headset would have to be sent back to autocom for them to check before they would do anything. I'm not a technician but if you plug it in and wiggle the connector & the sound comes in & out with crackling etc its its fu****, so why werent they willing to do anything apart from pass the buck. As my head set is only 6 months old surely they should be sorting it as my contract was with them.

Back on the phone to Doug who said SPC should have looked at it & changed it, but he would send me out a replacement.

So its thumbs up to Autocom

SPC - . Happy to take your dosh but poor serviceafter that IMO. (Still never got a reply to my request for a quote for servicing the bike which was 2 months ago). When decide to change up to the 1200 then rest assured they wont get my service

What can I say? I'm only telling it like I see it. As a member of the Royal Navy Motorcycle club down here SPC have helped us out on more than one occasion, namely by donating to Children-in-need when we carry out our tour of a number of MOD and Civilian establishments down here in order to collect monies for the cause.

SPC don't need to do this but they do. And before you say that they only do it for the PR value well, if that's the price to pay then I, and the other club members who put their time and effort into this each year, are quite happy. I would use the opportunity too if I were in their position!

The point I was making originally was simply that we are (In a lot of cases quite rightly) very quick to point out when we don't get the service we want/expect but not quite so eager to point out when dealers actually make us feel like we are important to them. Just take a little time to thank them too. It may just go a long way.

Fair point, each of us have different experiences with different dealers.
