I’ve had a great three years with my GS - tours, track days, commuting and off roading - what a fabulous bike and reliable as well. The time has come for a change - time for a touch of lunacy with a K1300r! Thank you all for your help on this forum. Cheers & Regards James.

Enjoy , the R is a stonking bike but you’ll be back !!

I think you will miss the GS although the 1300R is a good bike!!

I had a 05 and 07 GS before 3 K1300R's and I am now back to the GS LC:cool:

As above the 13 has a stonking engine....but we will see you back here .....enjoy

I had a 1300R, good bike, yes does have shaft drive, and very very quick but no where near as much fun or satisfying on the twisties :)

I did the same thing 3 years ago...1 year later back to the GS. In the time I had it it was a riot, but the voice inside my head kept whispering GS GS.

I had no regrets on k1300 but I think I missed the joys of the GS.

Nick Sanders rode around the world in record time on an Yamaha R1, and a lot of his trip was seriously off-road.

Well done matey!
