Goodbye old oil cooled GSA, Hello S1000R Sport.
While tiding up my web favourites I noticed UKGSER, I have not been here for a while so I thought I would pop in and say "good bye...for now"
I am sure I will pop in here every now and aging, also I regularly point people in the direction of the very upfront thread: "Do NOT test ride a GS".

I think the opening post is very relevant to the old GS's, but not so for the water cooled ones, as that almost ride like a normal bike.
Anyway, a nicely refreshing and honest post for a bike forum by "the management".
Almost a year ago I said goodbye to my R12000GSA.
The replacement was another of BMW's finest, a S1000R Sport.
A delicate wee beastie, producing grin making miles all the time, while eating rear rubber at a great rate of knots.
But it was not so good for doing the weekly supermarket shop or for pillions, so a couple of week later I also got a MT-09 Tracer.
The Tracer...arguably a more appropriate and cost effective road bike than a GS for most riders...but that is not the whole point on having a GS, as "Do NOT test ride a GS" points out.
But I do miss the range of the GS Adventure.
Anyway, good bye for now, and you all ride safe.
ps, "admin", best not delete the account, better than average chance that I will have a big tanked Adventure spec GS in the future.
