Goodwood Breakfast club - Sunday 5th August

Judy & I decided to have a run out to Goodwood as well.

Bit dissapointed with the event I thought that it was a bit more bike orientated for some reason.

Not a bad ride doen the A3 etc baiting guys in Porche's ! got told off and was asked to behave :blast

Hey Novice was that you in the que for brekkie wearing the red BMW kit with another guy wearing the blue?

Bob

That was me in my red uniform! :D

I wonder who was the couple that sat down on our table for breakfast  Had a UKGSer with site name t-shirt on ... but I was concentrating on other things :augie

small tea 10 oz cup organic 5 inch sausage in a roll with one rasher of bacon £7.50 found Lord March and gave him the rant
I hear there's a place in Andover that does better a deal....you should check it out.:thumb2

Nice Run...

Was out the house at 6:30 for fuel etc. Hung about waiting for Novice 'til 7:30 at the top of the A3, headed off. Cheers to the couple that thought I'd broken down too.

No problem mate, I'll always stop for a fellow GSer.... We met at the Ace a few months back the day after I picked up me SE...

I went with the guys from Vines, had a good ride up there and the brekkie was good but rather expensive (£20.00 for 2) I was actually quite disappointed with the event considering the number of people that turned up. I was under the impression it was a German car AND bike event and was wondering why most of ther german bikes were parked away from the main paddocks and yet there were a number of Sukis, yam,s kwaks, Harleys and even an Yank Buell thingy parked in the main paddock.....
I guess I expected a lot more than was on offer. Next time I'll be heading back to the ACE fro the monthly meet as it's far better organised....INMO:augie

Hi Novice

It was I and me missus sat at your table.... Glad you liked the view:augie

We'll introduce ourselves properley next time.....:thumb

I agree with Bakerman.

Anybody know Lord Marche's email I think we should make or feelings known.

Thanks for the heads up, Nick. Great day out and a welcome change from the Ace. Some exotic machines.

Yes, catering prices were steep, but on the other hand there was no admittance fee, so it was swings and roundabouts.

a welcome change from the Ace. Tim

The ACE today was horrific - it was "Streetfighter" day at the ace.

These bikes are the equivalent of spotty teenage chav glue sniffers. The limits of their travel is boxhill/Ace/epping forest. But not all three places.

Goodwood is a venue for a breakfast club meet up, not a car / bike show. I thought the turn out was very good. Goodwood estate really know how to charge though !

i had (a better) breakfast before i left home.

cheap morning out ;)

The breakfast was expensive but I thought the scenary was better than the ace ... :augie

Did anyone go into the shop? Quite cool looking white boiler suit :D

Great selection of cars, but agreed, not enough bikes ....

Took the other option...

And had breakfast in Bruges instead!

Eurotunnel was only £26 return - caught the 0620 train out and the 2020 back.

Great day - easy trip to Folkestone, easy trip over to Bruges, really lovely town (I was prepared for a tacky tourist town - nothing of the sort), great (just for Bakes:thumb2), great beer (just for everyone else!) and a mid afternoon snooze in a beautiful park...:Motomartin

Honestly, to get over to France/Belgium for the same price as two breakfasts at Goodwood - no competition.

Was anyone here on the grey 1150 GS travellling west on the E40 to Calais about 7:30pm? With a 950 KTM?

Warm, wasn't it? !!:sunshine

Was a nice trip out. Lovely day. But a 20 minute wait for the breakfast buffet and at a cost of a tenner is really taking the pi** !!!

I'll eat before hand next time....

Don't give the secret away, might end up with even more Brits spoiling the 'Ambiance'
