Goodwood ride out - Sun 27 Feb 2011

The Aeroclub cafe inside the Goodwood circuit. Head in the main entrance, through the tunnel and turn left follow the road down to the car park at the end.

OK,

Have spent a bit of time thinking about the options. Previously I have led this run on a Saturday when Bahnstormers is open and we have paused briefly there.

So this year what do people want to do?

I was thinking start at Goodwood and then have a circuitous scenic route across to Alton(ish) with maybe a brief coffee and cigarette (for the smokers) somewhere near Petersfield and then back down to Whiteways Cafe to finish there.

If this suits most then I will get a route finalised. Will probably be a bit different to previous years as I have found a nice flowing/fast B road which cuts out much of the A272. I will also try and miss the muddy section from last year:augie

Let me know

Nigel

ok the panzer is back together even found out where all them extra bolts go:eek so that looks like a plan:clap

Should have gone on the Saturday one last year. It was dry :augie

I will be there horizontal rain or not.

what about new faces? I would love to join and see how , who or what happens on these tours.... Live in London, so meet at Goodwood area? Is it a gentle off road track or road track? Can;t afford to ditch ny new 2010 ....

It's all tarmac roads! :augie

Well it was when I recce'd most of the route last Monday. A bit 'dirty' in places, but we are not going through the muddy section from last year!

The K is all 'fixed' and back on the road. All it really needed was a new trim piece at the top of the right hand fairing, a new brake lever and a new mirror glass. The clutch slave cylinder has been covered (;)) and the fairing has been left as it was. Total repair cost was around £70.00 but its £350 if I want a new fairing panel. I am just waiting for some warmer weather to get back into the swing of things again!
