Well after persevering with Chrome since it was first launched, I've finally given-up on it after not finding a fix for the slow "resolving host" issues.

It's a shame. There's a lot of complaints that Chrome has this problem, lots of supposed fixes by users but Google seems to have clammed-up on the topic.

I liked the look of Chrome, I liked the tabs and the favourites page but waiting for a page to load has just become too tedious (it's like being back on dial-up). Once a favourite had loaded, the pages all loaded fine but sometimes the wait for a site to load ran into minutes.

Back to Firefox for me now. Recovering passwords has been fun.

Mike try 'Roboform' great for filling forms and storing passwords, all you have to remember is one Master password.

I've just given up on Chrome as well. I use Firefox's adblocker plugin and Google obviously don't want Chrome to be able to do this (it's why they made Chrome in the first place).
