Apple have just announced that they are allowing back onto iOS6.

I've just downloaded it onto my iPhone. The interface is slightly different but all the functionality is there plus a wee bit more. Nice to have it back

There no street view though - its what I used the most one I'd plotted the route.

There is, it's just the interface that's changed a bit - easy to get used to though

Tapping on the thumb-nail brings up the full image and functionality.
