GoPro Video editing

I can't get movie maker to open the gopro files, what is the preffered editing software for the gopro on Windows format?

quick time pro £50 very easy or adobe premier pro sever hundred pounds...

do remember the "heavy lift" will need to be done at some point, just cos you can see the footage and make the virtual edit, does not make it real... It the final piece will need to render out at some point! that calculation will take ages.... HD video files are massive and computers will and do crash... backup whatever your doing often...
