Very happy result today with my Klim Overlanders, they are 7 years old and in France a few weeks ago developed a weep around the gear change pad.

Went straight to the Gore-Tex Warranty site, and after a webchat supplied the invoice and claim info, then post the boots to Scotland for testing.

Today, just under two weeks later, I get the following, I would say that is a result on 7 year old boots.

Lucky you,

all i got was, we cant get our welded seam to reweld as its to old . best we can do is stitch it and it will cost you £30 and we dont GT the stiched seam

(hmm i'd have thought your R&D dept would have a soloution other than stiching) - which i could have done my self

That's a bugger, but all I can do is talk about my own experience though.

I worked as a supplier to WL Gore in Livingston during the mid 90’s. They were one of the most professional companies I have ever worked with. Incredible levels of attention to detail plus they demand full transparency of any changes you make to anything that goes near their production line. I learned a tremendous amount of good management practice just by seeing the way they handle issues and opportunities.
