We will be going to Sids again this year, but this time going via the Gorges du Tarn and staying there for a week or more, so i decided to have a look around for places i have not yet seen in and around that area, and came across this website that has a few very good routes that are downloadable and suggestions of places to visit.

Enjoy.

Lee, that gpx file of mine that you have a copy of took me to and through the Gorges du Tarn. Very nice 👍

There’s also this couple. Had a chat with the guy at the ABR and he was very friendly with a good sense of humour. A friend of mine has been down there and highly recommended it:
Lovely place with pool, excellent food and local knowledge.
I’ve got no connection, their stand was close to the one I was on and very busy.

Yes Carl its a bit nice down there, been a few times but there is always something new to see, anyhow how the devil are you and will we see you at sids.?

I can’t see any GPX files, at least not on an iPad. The blurb suggests there might be eight of them.

Edit

1. I did find one.

2, Others have a 404 error code.

3. Others lead to what seem to be third party sites.

when you scroll through the pages you get to a page for each route that should look the same as this, see the gpx on the left.page.jpg

Thank you, Lee. Appreciated.

After some tapping about on my iPad I found the routes on the website. As they say, “Tap around, you can’t break it”.

Here’s one as a sample:

The only problem i can see some having is the routes all start and finish in Milau, for some its no problem to edit routes to suit, others not so much.

No doubt about it, Lee.

For those using MyRoute (though the same will work in BaseCamp or MapSource)….

Create a new route file.

Copy / display the website route in the new file.

Trace over it, using as much (or as little) of the original route as you fancy, starting and or ending anywhere you like. Here’s an an example, using one of the route tracks from the original website, where I have just used a part of the suggested route, starting and ending well away from Millau. All done using nothing more than an iPad, which is one of the advantages MyRoute has over BaseCamp / MapSource.

And for those that have the basics like map source or basecamp the same can be done, the yellow track is the origional and the magenta is the one i traced and overlayed on
it.
I used map source and had two windows open at the same time i find this a lot easier when working with routes, you can do the same with basecamp.
You can see how the yellow track differs from my chosen magenta route.
