To celebrate 175 years of Bristol Zoo, artists have created Sixty mini gorillas, each with names.

59 are in and around Bristol and one is in Birmingham (So we'll forget that one for the time being :augie) They are here until 7th September.

Anyone intersted in a ride, all over Bristol, to hunt down and photograph them ?

It'll take some work gps'ing a very complicated route and calculating viability

Did you do the run in the end? Just wondering how you got on, as I'm thinking about finding them tomorrow.

No, absolutely zero interest shown. I even did a Garmin waypoint file. You can download a pdf map from the internet. Many are not accessible by motorbike because many are within Cabot Circus.
49 are in and around Bristol Centre and the last one is in Birmingham!
It would be ideal on bicycles and they have proved very popular.Every Gorilla has someone standing next to it being photographed. They are all being auctioned on Sept 29th.

I ended up running them on my own as well. 12 hours riding around on Saturday netted me 57 of them. The ones in the centre around the Podium etc I had to park up for, but almost every other one I was able to park close by.

Finished the Birmingham and Slimbridge (and Currys - they were closed Saturday evening!) on Sunday. Monday afternoon grabbed the one on the Matthew.

Phew...

Some people have too much time on their hands :thumb
Well done!
