Got 5k bonus today...what shall I spend it on?

Got an internal mail today - Private & Confidential - huh oh i thought. Anyway here is 5k. Yipee! and tax free.

So, what should I spend it on?????? Any Ideas?

Was thinking of a KTM off roader?

please help:D
 
So what amazing piece of work does someone have to do to get a five thousand pound bonus then ?
Makes me sick.
Unless of course, you have saved the boss's life by removing a chicken bone which has lodged in his throat potentially leading to certain death ...or something like that.
Go on ... tell me what you office wallys actually have to do to earn 'bonuses'.
I made 197 quid bonus last year. Its a different world eh !!

Depends on what you do for the company, I personally work in sales for an American company, and if I sell enough of their product I will be paid a 40K commision............however if i do not sell enough product in a 3 month period I will be sacked. High risk vs High Gain.

He probably meant TAX and NI paid, which is how most bonuses come or there's an investment vehicle like company shares held for 3 years and approved by HMRC which become in effect 'Tax-Free'

Was an Expat bonus...part of putting up with the Dutch for three years..believe me 5k is not enough to keep me here in Dutchland!

So maybe a flight out of here with my GSA sitting next t o me in business class:beerjug:

....and this was after i was promised a bonus and pay rise at my interview 5 months ago.

since then the company has discovered its profits aren't as good as they thought they were - from when i was told how brilliant they were in the interview. :mmmm :spank
 
Poor service, flat boring land, bad drivers, inflexible and stubborn.....thats just for starters......living in Den Haag it's a bit better there as it's full of Brit expats who actually socialise outside work and you don't need to arrange to go for a beer 3 weeks in advance....:mad:

I've been out in Holland quite a bit of late. My word, people say that it rains a lot in England. Try Holland. Save your bonus for coats, umbrellas, wellies, waders, hats ...!
